The name “Jackalope” captures the spirit of creativity and curiosity, inviting guests to explore a place where fiction and reality blend. This focus on storytelling makes the Jackalope Hotel a unique destination, enhancing the appeal of its luxurious accommodations and scenic location on the Mornington Peninsula.
We arrived in the afternoon and immediately noticed the impressive architecture. The hotel’s exterior is a striking contrast against the lush, green vineyards. The hotel continues this theme with dark, sophisticated decor and fascinating artwork inside.
The check-in process was smooth, and the staff greeted us warmly. The lobby combined contemporary design with luxury, creating an opulent and welcoming atmosphere.
Jackalope features two main dining options, Doot Doot Doot and Rare Hare.
The hotel also included a complimentary wine tasting at its cellar door as part of our room rate, which was a fantastic way to sample its wines.

The Jackalope Hotel looks like it’s in a great location to explore the peninsula and visit the wineries.
I am hoping to get to Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula late this year/early next year so read this review with anticipation. Jackalope looks like a really nice place to stay and the restaurants sound excellent.
