The Eiffel Tower is such an iconic image of Paris, that there are so many photographs of this beautiful structure.  However what is also as impressive is the stunning view you get when you go to the top.

The tower is 324 metres tall which is the equivalent of an 81 storey building. There are three levels that you can view the city from.  There are restaurants on the first and second levels.  The main observation deck is the upper platform at 276 metres.

The first day we went to the Eiffel Tower, we were not able to go up as the staff were on strike, so we returned a couple of days later.  The view was definitely worth the wait. You are greeted by 360 degree views of Paris.

It is located in the 7th arrondissement and is easily accessible on the Metro.  The closest Metro is the Bir-Hakeim station and is a short walk to the tower.
