While taking a leisurely stroll around the Red Light District of Amsterdam we came across this very interesting store, Condomerie.
Condomerie is located at Warmoesstraat 141, 1012JB Amsterdam which is in the famous Red Light District of Amsterdam. It is in easy walking distance from the Central Station and Dam.
When you walk towards the address, you can’t miss the store. It has a large yellow signed hanging above the pavement outside the door and a number of condoms hanging in the window.
Because it’s fun! Condomerie has heaps of hilarious condom designs and it’s well worth a bit of time to go inside and have a look around. The staff were friendly and we talked to one of the ladies working there who was more than happy to explain how they can provide you (well hubby) with a tape measure so you can take your measurements to make sure you get the correct size. They are also more than happy to give you a few tape measures (unused of course!) to take home as a souvenir.
These are all hand painted, novelty condoms. The staff in the shop advise you that these shouldn’t be used and are for novelty purposes only. They even give you real condoms when you buy the novelty ones. Yes we bought some, the are sooooo cool!

Go and have a look. It’s a lot of fun and the novelty condoms make great presents for those hard to buy for family members and friends! Oh and they don’t take up much space in the suitcase either.

This is too funny. I’ve been to Amsterdam half a dozen times and never came across Condomerie. I will definitely stop by next time!
Haha Viktoria. It was so much fun visiting. I can clearly remember saying, oh but I need a chicken condom, oh and an elephant condom, oh and what about the windmill one! We got lots a gifts to take home to friends!

I remember taking a photo of the window of that store! It was closed when we passed so we didn’t go inside, but we definitely would be done if it had been open!

This reminds me of a place in Bangkok called “Cabbages and Condoms”. It’s a restaurant, but there’s a similar focus. 😉
