Albano Laziale is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Rome, on the Alban Hills, in Latium, central Italy.  It is 25 kilometres outside of Rome.  It is a beautiful town with stunning old buildings.

The town dates back to the first millennium BC with the first recorded evidence of human settlement.  For this reasons, the area is steeped in history with stunning historical buildings, beautiful religious buildings and gardens.

Albano is a great place to spend time wandering the streets, exploring and sampling the food from the local shops.

How To Get To Albano From Rome

Only being 25km outside of Rome, you can easily do a day trip to Albano.  The fastest, but also most expensive options are by taxi or Uber.  But if you have limited time, the extra cost is well worth it to have extra time exploring the town.

You can catch a train from Roma Termini to Albano Laziale which takes about 55 minutes or a bus which can take between and hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half.  If you have the extra time, these are less expensive options.
